The hotel "Marshal" is situated in the building constructed in the beginning of the XX century by famous architect L. Ruska since 2001. Earlier there were stables of Royal guard and barracks for cavalry. Many famous persons served as cavalry officers here and devoted themselves fully to their military career: Decembrist prince Volchonsky, the first president of Finland marshal Carl Gustav Emil Mannerhaim and others. The owners of the hotel are mostly retired military rnen and people from Finland prefer to stay here so the name "Marshal" was chosen to commemorate as the honour of that important political person.
